This sauce recipe is great for fishballs, kikiam, kwek-kwek, squid balls, fried isaw, fried chicken, betamax etc.
Ingrediants:
2 tablespoon flour or corn starch
1 cup water
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon brown sugar
2 cloves garlic - minced
½ teaspoon salt
1 small red chili (labuyo) - chopped (optional)
A dash of black pepper
Directions:
Combine all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, black pepper and salt. Add 1/2 cup of water first and mix it well until all the ingredients are well dissolved.
In a hot sauce pan, add the other 1/2 cup of water, put the minced garlic and red pepper( optional)
Bring it to a simmer over medium heat while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Usually takes about 3-5 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl or a jar and let it cool down a bit before serving.
